Tunnel Vision

One thing that I’ve discovered about myself is that I can focus on a task at the expense of other important things. In the moment, I believe that task is the important thing. However, if I’m treating people unkindly and neglecting other responsibilities, then I need to take notice. Don’t get me wrong; to focus on a task and see it through to completion is a wonderful thing, but life doesn’t happen one thing at a time. While I’m completing this video, script, assignment, paperwork or anything else, I also need to be treating people right. And getting everything else done that falls under the umbrella of my responsibilities - no excuses. How is your focus? Is it too narrow? Or are you handling it?
